VoltRida Warranty Policy

Thank you for choosing VoltRida. This warranty policy sets out your rights and our responsibilities if your e-bike or its components have a defect. It operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Summary of coverage

12 months

All non-consumable parts and components of the e-bike (including motor, controller, display, charger, wiring harness, brakes—excluding pads—derailleurs, cranks, hubs, handlebars, stem, seatpost, lights and other factory-fitted components).

6 months

Battery pack and Battery Management System (BMS).

Excluded consumables

Brake pads and tyres/inner tubes are not covered by this manufacturer’s warranty due to normal wear and tear. You may still have rights under the ACL.

Who is covered

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. Proof of purchase (tax invoice/receipt) is required to make a claim.

What we will do

If a covered component is confirmed defective during the applicable warranty period, VoltRida will, at our option and at no cost to you:

(a) repair the component;
(b) replace it with a new or refurbished equivalent; or
(c) provide a refund if repair or replacement is not available within a reasonable time.

Remedies will be consistent with your rights under the ACL.

How to make a claim

Stop using the product if a safety concern exists.
Contact your place of purchase or VoltRida via our website with your order details, serial number (if applicable), description of the defect, and photos or a short video.
We may perform troubleshooting and request you present the product to an authorised VoltRida technician or ship the defective part for inspection.

Unless required by law, warranty is provided on a return-to-base basis. You are responsible for bringing or sending the product to us; if a claim is accepted, we will cover the reasonable cost of shipping the repaired or replacement item back to you.

Exclusions (what is not covered)

Normal wear and tear, including brake pads and tyres/inner tubes.
Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, stunts, overloading, or use outside intended purpose.
Water ingress beyond the product’s stated ingress protection (IP) or exposure to corrosive environments.
Unauthorised modifications or installation of non-approved parts or accessories; improper assembly.
Improper storage or lack of routine maintenance.
Commercial use where usage exceeds typical consumer use, unless expressly agreed in writing.
Cosmetic damage (scratches, paint, decals) that does not affect performance.

Battery-specific terms (6-month limited warranty)

Use only the supplied or VoltRida-approved charger.
Do not charge unattended or overnight; follow the battery safety instructions supplied with your product.
Store between 10–25 °C in a dry environment. If storing for more than 30 days, keep the battery around 40–70% charge and top up every 90 days.
This warranty does not cover performance reduction due to normal ageing/usage, provided the battery remains of acceptable quality under the ACL.

Customer responsibilities

Follow the user manual for assembly, safe riding and maintenance schedules.
Keep proof of purchase and any service records.
Perform routine checks: tyre pressure, brake adjustment, chain lubrication, spoke tension and software/firmware updates if applicable.

Australian Consumer Law — mandatory statement

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Limitations

Except as required by the ACL, this warranty does not cover incidental or consequential losses. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies under the ACL.
